SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUC

1. I inserted the video into the timeline.  
2. I created a new track.  
3. I tried to drag the video into the new track, but it didn’t work.  
4. I repeated the process with another video and on another computer, but the issue persisted.

Does the clip you tried to move from one track to another have an audio stream? If so, does the newly created video track have a corresponding audio track? If not, moving the clip won't work as per design.

You need V1/A1, V2/A2, V3/A3, and so on in order to move a clip with both video and audio streams from V1 to another track (V2 or V3).
