workaround posted on the arch linux forums and the freebsd forum and on kde discuss, after v25 version bump which may be not relevant. |
SUMMARY falkon after our February update, does not load, or, a blank "falkon:restore" appears then a crash TO REPRODUCE 1. run under gdb 2. run with any of its parameters except -h or -v maybe 3. OBSERVED RESULT does not appear with its tabs as before EXPECTED RESULT open with twenty or so tabs ther SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: plasma6- ... 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 ??? Qt Version: both? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION gdb : gpu_info_collector.cc(582) Could not create surface for info collection ... thread 27: received signal SIGSERV, Segmentation fault. Address not mapped to object [ switching to LWP 104576 of process 18789] in ?? () from /usr/local/lib/qt6/libQt6WebEngineCore.so.6 I've rebuilt and reinstalled that file, did not fix anything. KDE per se is not installed fully enough to be used as a desktop, if that matters. Falkon worked for a long long while ...
