This happened to me few times already.  I wanted to save attachment, but file with that name already existed. Therefore new window was opened. Normally there would be a question whether I want to overwrite/rename etc, but I it was all black.
After a few seconds kontact crashes. This also happened to me when composing email. Window shoud have different content, but it was all black and crashed occured quickly afterwards.

I should also probably mention that I am running kontact with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb on Wayland

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
