Description Mr 2025-03-31 16:56:30 UTC
I am using Zorin 17.3 which, I believe, uses Ubuntu. I installed Haruna from the Zorin Software Store.

Unfortunately, Settings > General: 'start in fullscreen mode' does not work. It is not obvious to me whether this option means start Haruna in fullscreen mode or start playback in fullscreen mode. However, it does not matter what the correct interpretation is because neither one is working on my platform. Haruna always opens at the default screen size and always plays in the default screen size. Fullscreen always has to be manually selected.

Start in fullscreen mode = starts playback in fullscreen

Tested and it works across the following (all in Wayland sessions)

- Arch Linux
- Fedora 41
- Kubuntu 24.10 # flatpak
- Zorin OS 17.3 (core edition) based on Ubuntu 22.04.5 # flatpak
Installed via Zorin Software Store

I can confirm this undesired behaviour in both snap and flatpak version 1.40 in Ubuntu 24.04 Wayland. After checking the box to 'start in fullscreen mode' if I start a video from Nautilus (I have Haruna set as my default video player) nothing happens at all, as in no video plays. Starting Haruna from the apps menu with the box to 'start in fullscreen mode' checked does open the player but in the default window size and not fullscreen. I am able to toggle in and out of fullscreen using the f key so I know my environment is capable of displaying Haruna in fullscreen.
