I just upgraded my ram to 128 gb and I was launching a game on steam, during this time  kwin crashed repeatedly.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Go back to OpenGL; Vulkan support is experimental for a reason. :)

Thanks, switched back to OpenGL, didn't realize Vulkan was experimental. 
If anyone has the same problem run "Plasma Render" to find the dialog switcher as I can't find it through "system settings".
