Select the text tool, click on the canvas and start typing, then right click to open the context menu.
Under Windows, everything fine. Under Linux, the App crashes.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should show the context menu

Both Stable and Experimental, latest in both cases
I guess an examle file is not needed, since the bug is quite trivial

Thanks for your report, I just tried with the beta for 0.6.0 (see https://glaxnimate.org/news/releases/0.5.80/) and I can not reproduce the issue.
