I'm sorry but I cannot reproduce the issue you are having. Paste into Active layer is always correctly under Edit menu. This is true for downloaded 5.2.9 and the store versions. Afair there was never a time that option was under the File menu so it might indicate something strange is happening in your settings. |
Created attachment 179603 [details] Paste into Active Layer is missing in the Edit menu SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Choose Krita/Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts 2. Search for Paste 3. OBSERVED RESULT Paste into Active Layer is found under the File menu EXPECTED RESULT It should be found under the Edit menu. Because of that error, users will assume that it isn't possible to assign a shortcut for that key (happened to me) See photos.
