Go in Settings > Configure Kdenlive > Playback That is your Audio Backend and Audio Driver ? By default, the Audio Backend should be SDL, but if for some reason you changed it to RtAudio that might explain why you needed to install rtaudio. The other packages don't really make sense. The only backend in the list was and is SDL. While it wasn't working, I tried switching the driver and both ALSA and PulseAudio did not work. When I cheked the audio menu in KDE, Kdenlive didn't even show up.
