Would be really nice if kio_fish supported something like fish://gateway.remote.net#somehost/path/
to access <path> on <somehost> via <gateway.remote.net> (think ssh gateway.remote.net ssh somehost command)

This feature is being investigated and might appear in 3.2 (though I can't promise that).

This hasn't been implemented, or has it (with some syntax I don't know)?

Can you look at this again for 3.5 or 4.0? It would be really useful for connecting into intranets.
