I see, you can add categories to a favorite list and change their order there. |
Created attachment 179269 [details] Screenshot of Kicker: by default the widget is smaller (red line) If you search for something in Kicker you are presented results for different subsections, e. g. "files" and "applications". If I search for "gtk4-demo", I get 10 results for random flatpak runtimes in the "files" subsection and at the very bottom the desired "application" gtk4-demo. There are several possible solutions to improve the situation: 1) Always use a bigger Kicker widget, so that all results fit into the view - not so convenient 2) The results per subsection become limited to e.g. 5 instead of 10, with the possibility to expand. (Don't know if it's already limited?) 3) Push search result items, which are more often opened/used to the top, give them more weight: both within subsections and for subsections themselves 4) Order the list by application first as those are likely less in number than files 5) ... more ideas?
