Screenshot of Kicker: by default the widget is smaller (red line)

If you search for something in Kicker you are presented results for different subsections, e. g. "files" and "applications".

If I search for "gtk4-demo", I get 10 results for random flatpak runtimes in the "files" subsection and at the very bottom the desired "application" gtk4-demo.

There are several possible solutions to improve the situation:

1) Always use a bigger Kicker widget, so that all results fit into the view - not so convenient
2) The results per subsection become limited to e.g. 5 instead of 10, with the possibility to expand.
(Don't know if it's already limited?)
3) Push search result items, which are more often opened/used to the top, give them more weight: both within subsections and for subsections themselves
4) Order the list by application first as those are likely less in number than files
5) ... more ideas?

I see, you can add categories to a favorite list and change their order there.
