From the output it looks like your filesystem is having problems, and/or the drive itself. I suggest you backup all data and run a full disk check, possibly recreate the filesystem, and if that still causes problems replace the drive. |
Created attachment 179220 [details] Various journalctl outputs (explained in post description) SUMMARY My system has been randomly hanging. Visually, everything freezes. I can't move my mouse, the clock doesn't change time, I can't even Ctrl+Alt+F3 to another TTY. Audibly, if I'm playing a game, it'll keep looping the last few seconds of audio. There's been times I was on a Discord call and I could still hear them talking, although I don't remember if they could hear me or not. Once it happens, all I can do is either wait for it to start responding again (which can take several minutes, if ever) or just REISUB and lose all my unsaved work. This has happened to me while I'm doing really important work or in the middle of a competitive match in a game and it's really bad. It seems to happen more often when I'm alt-tabbing, but not always. The last time it happened, I saw the clock widget (which was frozen) was at 3:40 AM, so it must've happened between 3:40AM and 3:41AM. I have the output of 3 commands attatched: -> `sudo journalctl --since="2025-03-08 03:39:00" --until="2025-03-08 03:43:00"` The --user log for the command above is identical.
