Description Garth 2025-03-05 20:08:18 UTC
SUMMARY
Before KglobalAccel, we used "KHotKeys" which included this particular short cut. I used it quit extensively, and it hasn't been present on KGlobalAccel since switching over.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. place cursor on a text line, in any application.
2. press "ctrl + shift + backspace", to attempt to delete from the cursor backwards one line (or next punctuation as in a "write" application (libreoffice, or Kate).
3. Note, nothing is deleted.

OBSERVED RESULT
When doing any of the two shortcuts, the cursor remains exactly where it is, and does nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT
Delete text from where my cursor is, either left or right (backspace or delete, respectively) to the beginning or end of line (respectively). Most desktops (windows, MAC, etc and if I remember Gnome), have this shortcut, and plasma had it before going to KGlobalAccel

This kind of shortcut is the application's responsibility, it has nothing to do with the global shortcut system used
