After the backtrace it seems to crash in QWebEngine. I can't reproduce it with my native digiKam version or with the AppImage. Can you rename/delete the file "~/.pki/nssdb"? Maik Hi, digiKam 8.6.0 is just released: https://www.digikam.org/news/2025-03-15-8.6.0_release_announcement/ Problem still exists with this version? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier Yes, still persists. Tried to delete the directory, but its created after firefox is launched again. Tried to do debsums of files where libsoftokn3.so is and everything is okay apt-file search libsoftokn3.so firefox: /usr/lib/firefox/libsoftokn3.so libnss3: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/nss/libsoftokn3.so thunderbird: /usr/lib/thunderbird/libsoftokn3.so Maybe this is related to system libs ? pschonmann@E495:~$ dpkg -l | grep libnss3 ii libnss3:amd64 2:3.98-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 amd64 Network Security Service libraries ii libnss3-tools 2:3.98-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 amd64 Network Security Service tools due to pschonmann@E495:~/apps/digikam$ ./digiKam-8.7.0-20250325T070100-Qt6-x86-64.appimage -- digiKam Linux AppImage Bundle -- Use 'help' as CLI argument to know all available options for digiKam application. -- Notes: to integrate this bundle to your desktop, use AppImageLauncher. -- to enable all debug messages on the console, use 'export QT_LOGGING_RULES="digikam*=true"'. -- to extract the bundle contents locally, use option '--appimage-extract' on the command line. awk: cmd. line:1: warning: command line argument `/etc/upstream-release' is a directory: skipped awk: cmd. line:1: warning: command line argument `/etc/upstream-release' is a directory: skipped -- Detected host Linux LinuxMint-64-21.3 -- AppImage mounted directory: /tmp/.mount_digiKamCuIcL Preloading skipped for libudev.so.0 Preloading skipped for libxcb-dri3.so.0 Preloading skipped for libcrypto.so.1.1 Preloading skipped for libssl.so.1.1 Preloading skipped for libnss3.so Preloading skipped for libnssutil3.so Preloading skipped for libsmime3.so Preloading skipped for libgmodule-2.0.so.0 Preloading skipped for libgnutls.so.30 Preloading skipped for libnettle.so.8 where some of these bundled libs are not loaded from appimage but rather from system ? *** Bug 502003 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Git commit e702fa0a55eec712bfd4b3e047b3c7384aee152e by Gilles Caulier. It's clear that Firefox also creates this database. I suspect a version conflict that we probably can't really resolve. Maik Yes, its still crashing when directory is deleted. Until i click on help, then directory ~/.pki/nssdb is created with chmod 700 but no files in there, after some of time digikam crash Hi Petr, The new AppImage bundle 8.7.0 pre-release for Linux based on Qt 6.8.3 will be online in one hour (20:00 Paris time) at usual place : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Let's me here if the problem remain.
