Are you talking about Guides or Markers? Guides are fixed in the timeline, Markers are fixed with the clip. If you add space, Guides are not moving, but Markers will. Please confirm and the set the status to CONFIRMED. That said, I agree with your proposal to make it an option to move Guides when inserting space in the timeline. Let's also discuss whether "Insert space in all tracks" should move Guides because the intention is to move stuff right to make room for more stuff across the board. My apologies!
