Sir, 
This is Garv and i am currently facing an issue in my kde plasma (wayland) , So basically i created a icons only panel on my kde but when i open any application which is not in the panel and close it it takes around 2-3 seconds for panel to actually remove the space of that application icon from the panel as you can see in the attachment

Please try to fix this issue, or if i am doing not doing something let me know. 
i am using this in my dell inspiron 15 3535 amd ryzen 5 7520u, 8gb of RAM

Known issue and someone is already working on it.
