I think this is a very important feature missing in KDE: a user-friendly general-purpose backup tool, allowing for backup to disk (e.g. NFS mounts), CDR/RW media and ZIP disks. In order to backup my machine, I had to write a set of shell scripts. This takes time and will obviously not be the solution of choice for a newbie or someone who just wants to make backup, not do programming. I wonder why so few people have voted for this bug. Kdat is not developed and mantained anymore. All Kdat bugs are closed with the status "unmantained". |
