SUMMARY

Yesterday, before upgrade plasma from 6.3 to 6.3.1 (6.2, 6.3.0)

Earlier in the past (plasma 6.2.5), I added several swappable wallpapers instead of one and it caused a delay when starting the plasma - the gear rotation screen was taking a longer time.

After update to 6.3.1 (23.02.25)

Now the gear rotation screen quickly disappears again as it was before (right after distro installation), but right after that and before my desktop fully loads, a screen appears with the default wallpaper as on the lockscreen and with the clock/weather widget I added to the desktop, but frozen (as if the weather icon was missing and temperature is 0). Now this screen froze for a while on login (as long as if it was a gear rotation screen earlier), without any panels on the screen, with only an x-shaped cursor, and then my desktop, my wallpaper and panels loaded and the widget came back to life.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. activate several wallpapers
2. upgrade plasma to 6.3.1

OBSERVED RESULT

strange hanging screen-in-the-middle without my panel but with the default wallpaper, frozen clock/weather widget and x-shaped cursor.

EXPECTED RESULT

A fast-playing gear rotating screen  and right after that a smooth fast loading of the user's desktop.
