SUMMARY
I ususally use X11 But I decided to try Wayland after reading the release notes for the new version saying X11 isn't really maintained anymore. However, now all of my taskbar widgets are floating.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Swap to Wayland
2. Make multiple different positioned widgets

OBSERVED RESULT
(see photo)

EXPECTED RESULT
They are flat like on X11

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2

Thank you for the bug report! This issue is already being tracked; marking as a duplicate.

You can have them in the same row if you set all of them to something other than "Always visible". At present, "Always visible" will reserve the whole space on Wayland, and thus they cannot be in the same row.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 477939 ***

IF you click the link to that bug, you'll see that it is marked as CONFIRMED. It's also marked HI priority.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on when a fix might be available.
