Issue on Plasma 6.4.3 , Dolphin 25.04.3

Description Fernando M. Muniz 2025-02-13 08:08:39 UTC
When users open a folder with images, their thumbnails are rough for a few frames, then pop into what they're supposed to look like.

I'm requesting to make the thumbnails load first, so they are presented more elegantly.

Thanks for the feature request. I'm sorry we weren't able to get to this yet.

I'm not seeing the fuzzy frames in previews with Dolphin built from git-master or version 25.04.3. There have been many improvements since this was reported, and this issue may have been fixed.

Can you please re-test on your system with Dolphin 25.04.3 or later and let us know if you can still reproduce the jagged previews? If you can, please set this report back to REPORTED. Thanks!

Thanks for confirming. This is probably affected by system resources, where you might not see this on a more powerful system but its obvious on a less powerful one. I'll let the developers investigate if there's a way to improve the visuals here.
