I inserted geotag information in the file with an external software but digikam still say there is no geotag information.
Update all metadata information from file would require too much time. Is it not possible to refresh digikam information just for the file I changed?

Select the file from icon-view and run the menu action "Item/ Reread Metadata from Image".

Re-Read Metadata from file does the job. If not, please provide image with geo data.
