SUMMARY
It would be nice to have an option for vertical dockers take space priority over horizontal dockers.

I've attached a screenshot of how the animation timeline could dock in this way (by just making it floating and placing it in the corner, it's not actually docked).

Thanks for the link! That look feasible. I'm not sure how to implement this as an option. Maybe with group buttons with the layout as a picture on them.

There's also the thing that we want to port away from QDockArea, but for 5.x that's not going to happen, so it would be worth working on this.
