Description cromachina 2025-02-03 00:28:28 UTC
SUMMARY
Assigning a simple "Key Combination" to "Sample Foreground Color from Merged Image" simply does not work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Assign "Alternate Invocation" -> "Key Combination" -> Sample Foreground Color from Merged Image" to a single unused key, like "M" for example (in my configuration, the "M" key was previously unbound).
2. Open any image or document.
3. Press and hold the assigned key with the cursor over the canvas viewport.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
The color sampler should appear and start sampling.

One workaround, which does work, but not in the desired way described, is by using "Mouse Button" instead:
"Alternate Invocation" -> "Mouse Button" -> "Sample Foreground Color from Merged Image" and assign they key like "M + Left Button"

However, there doesn't seem to be a visible reason as to why "Key Combination" doesn't actually work.
