@Christoph Thoughts? I would say this feature is not worth the complexity. Especially if you consider variable width fonts An alternative way to do this could be to be able to constrain the editor/document window width without needing a split screen? That solves my issue in practice, and might be helpful when running on large screens or in full screen mode, as the document edit area can get very wide. Turns out this already exists. I just missed a setting. There's a "wrap dynamic at static word wrap marker" in appearance which results exactly in what I am asking for. It probably tripped me up because the settings are spread between General and Editing but they have to be configured together for the functionality I'm looking for. I'll close this as worksforme. Apologies for the noise. |
