The color is not hardcoded, it can also be influenced by the color scheme (In reply to David Redondo from comment #1) > The color is not hardcoded, it can also be influenced by the color scheme So there's no way to run into confusion that two similar colors are used for two different meanings? I still use Breeze and I just have changed the accent color manually (or by the wallpaper): Isn't it still red then for security updates? Yes but if you change the color you can also change the "red" color. It is negative text (In reply to David Redondo from comment #3) > Yes but if you change the color you can also change the "red" color. It is > negative text Thanks! |
Created attachment 177785 [details] Screenshot: Updates available with a red dot (accent color) For a normal bug fix and feature updates, the dot is tinted blue, while for security updates it's tinted red - at least when using Breeze (Dark). It seems, the color blue is actually the accent color, while red is probably hard coded. If the accent color is by any chance red-ish, this leads to a confusion that every update available is a security update. I'd expect the dot therefore not to follow the accent color or there should be other means to differentiate between normal and security updates other than by the color.
