Description ariasuni 2025-01-28 15:27:40 UTC
SUMMARY
When using remote control from my Android device, I sometimes get the “Remote control requested” dialog. The checkbox “Allow restoring on future sessions” is always checked, but still it sometimes re-appear (maybe after an update?).

I often use my computer plugged into my TV, remotely with KDE Connect on my phone, from my couch (sometimes with one of my cat on me), and the dialog appearing is highly disruptive of this “leisureflow”.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use remote control regularly

OBSERVED RESULT
I sometimes get the “Remote control requested” dialog, but it’s unclear when I’ll get it back or what the “Allow restoring on future sessions” checkbox does.

EXPECTED RESULT
The dialog doesn’t appear after the first time (if I checked the checkbox), and the checkbox text tells me clearly what it does.
