SUMMARY
"toggle present windows" actions/shortcuts stop working when a fullscreen window has mouse focus.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any fullscreen application/game and focus (click) the window
2. Press ctrl+f9/ctrl+f8/ctrl+f7.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens. The application is still fullscreen and focused.

EXPECTED RESULT
toggle present windows triggers, allowing me to select a different window.

Yeah this is really old, like almost for years old. It's quite out of support, I'm afraid. I'd strongly recommend upgrading to a newer version of your distro — or ideally, to a different distro that ships KDE software as a first-class experience. You can see some at https://kde.org/distributions/

This is the latest version of popos on a fresh reinstall. After a lot of searching online it seems like apt is downloading an out of date version of plasma because popos does not support the latest version of plasma. I genuinely tried to make KDE neon or Kubuntu work but both have a fatal bug that prevents anything other than the mouse from loading when booting into the live environment. There is very little information I can find online for what could be causing this bug, so I am stuck on popos.
