Description geopapougr 2025-01-23 19:50:43 UTC
SUMMARY
When trying to copy a single or a selection of desktop icons by using the CTRL+C shortcut, the files are not copied, when in fact, right clicking the selection and clicking Copy, works just fine. Also, the shortcut is activated in the appropriate settings section, and the right-click menu that appears, actually shows the the copy shortcut is CTRL+C.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Have the Copy shortcut on the CTRL+C keys combination (default kde behaviour)
1. Select one or more icons on your desktop (for example using the mouse)
2. Press CTRL+C on your keyboard, while the icons are selected
3. Try to press CTRL+V on your desktop or even right-click on the desktop and select PASTE

OBSERVED RESULT
Your pc will try to paste whatever was previously copied to your clipboard, because the newer, copy action, was never done.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should paste the contents of your latest selection of desktop icons.
