1. Start new named session
2. Window->Split View Left/Right
3. Open multiple different files on each view
4. Restart application with same session

Result: Only one single view restores previous opened file, all other show the first opened file.

To clarify: a different document view often becomes current/active in a split view after restarting KDevelop. The sets of opened document views are restored reliably.

exactly, thanks for clarification. The sets of views are restored as expected. the previously viewed files are not.

updating to kdevelop 6.2.250402 solve the issue for me

I can still reproduce this bug in KDevelop 6.3.250770. I guess the same files were opened as current for you by accident. Reopening.
