Hi - I can't reproduce an issue with that emoji on Fedora KDE 41, Yakuake 24.12.1. A few questions to possibly help narrow things down: * Do other emoji characters have an issue? * Do you see that issue in the Konsole application as well? * Could you please attach a screenshot to help understand what the incorrect rendering looks like on your device? Thanks! Created attachment 177772 [details]

Hi John Thank you for your reply! I'm sorry for the delay in responding—I was traveling and couldn't respond sooner. * Do other emoji characters have an issue? Yes. * Do you see that issue in the Konsole application as well? No: I tried with many, and all of them render correctly. * Could you please attach a screenshot to help understand what the incorrect rendering looks like on your device? Absolutely. Incidentally: - I checked with a friend (ArchLinux + KDE 6.3-beta2), and he confirmed that emojis render correctly on both Konsole and Yakuake. - I also tested the Flatpak version of Yakuake (24.12.1, the same as you're using on Fedora), but emojis remain broken on my end. It seems likely that this is a NixOS-specific issue or something related to my personal configuration. To reduce noise, I suggest closing this ticket. Thanks again for your time! Fair enough! Just curious, I wonder if what's described at https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Fonts#Noto_Color_Emoji_doesn.27t_render_on_Firefox might be relevant for you? Feel free to reply back on top of this one if it turns out to not be a Nix or local issue! |
