Feature request: Show character count when composing an SMS message

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an SMS conversation
2. Start typing

OBSERVED RESULT
No character count indication.

EXPECTED RESULT
A character count indication of some sort (my phone SMS app shows a number of characters counting *down* from 160, and a number of messages that will be used counting *up* from 1).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I realise many/most people have unlimited "free" SMS messages, but others pay per individual 160-char message, so need to keep an eye on this while composing. Thanks for reading!

This was implemented quite awhile ago. I don't precisely remember, at least a couple of years. It only shows after exceeding the length of one SMS.
