Created attachment 176880 [details]
Image shows no fingers to click on for enrollment.

SUMMARY
Cannot enroll fingerprint using the Users UI. It was working in Kubuntu 22.04

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Users UI from the menu
2. Click on Configure Fingerprint Authentication
3. Click on + Add

OBSERVED RESULT
Only see two hands with no fingers to click on for enrollment.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be hands with fingers to click on.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 22.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It was working in the previous version of Kubuntu 22.04. The fingerprint cannot be enrolled through the command line (fprintd-enroll) too, so it seems there is a problem with the backend.

If the fprintd-enroll CLI tool also fails, then the issue is in the fprint library itself or the drivers for your fingerprint reader; there is no KDE code involved at that level. I'd recommend bringing it up with the Kubuntu folks, who are responsible for system integration at this level.

Thanks for your feedback and advice. I'll get in touch with the Kubuntu developers.
