Cantor does not print out the result as text, rather it displays the icon of a white page. Copying the icon in the clipboard, the result is displayed between $$ $$.  I am using Maxima as backend.
Cantor 24.12.0   on opensuse/tumbleweed

Is that a bug?

Yes, this is a bug unfortunately. The rendering of the LaTeX output got broken. We plan to refactor the handling of LaTeX code completely and to also fix this problem for the next release. Please switch off "LaTeX typesetting" in the worksheet properties to get the text output only until then.
