SUMMARY
"Effect collapse status"is not passed during a cut of a clip with existing effect stack which is completely collapsed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add color clip to project and timeline
2. add some effects to color clip and collapse them and possibly let Transform effect uncollapsed
3. cut the clip into 2 parts and check the effect stack of 2nd part, it will be uncollapsed

OBSERVED RESULT
effect stack status related to collapsed / uncollapsed is not passed on cut when cutting a clip

EXPECTED RESULT
maybe it would be more handy if effect stack remains as it is before the cut of a clip into parts but not sure if thats just my impression / workflow

Thank you for reporting. I cannot reproduce the issue on 24.12.0 on Windows. 

I added a “Lift/Gamma/Gain” and a “Transform” effect to the color clip. Closing “Lift/Gamma/Gain”. Cut the color clip in half. On both half the “Lift/Gamma/Gain” is closed and the “Transform” effect is open.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 24.12.0 to see if there are any packaging issues https://kdenlive.org/en/download/

Thank you for checking, I now checked in version kdenlive-master-9385-linux-gcc-x86_64.AppImage and it is indeed as you describe. Both parts have the same status of the effect stack.. I think we can close this task as "Not a bug". Sorry for the time invested..
