SUMMARY
When in Configure Dolphin → View you set "Remember display style for each folder", all folders turn to icon view, except for those where you had explicitly set a specific view mode. This is inconsistent from previous behavior, where the default view mode was the one last set when "Use common display style for all folders" was enabled.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select "Use common display style for all folders"
2. On the top left, pick the detailed view (third one)
3. Go back to settings and select "Remember display style for each folder"

OBSERVED RESULT
The view turns into icon view for every folder, except for those where a choice had been made previously.

EXPECTED RESULT
The default shouldn't be icon view, but rather the last one that was set when "Use common display style for all folders" was enabled.

I'm running in the same issue as well. 
In addition to the the issue mentioned by Mattia, if you try to set "Details View" to be the default for ALL folders by going to Hamburger Menu > More > View > Adjust View Display Style 

and in the "Change Display Style" window change:
View Mode: Details
View Options: Show hidden Files
Apply To: "All Folders" OR "Current Folder and sub-folders"


When you hit "apply" it will only apply the setting to the current folder, but all other directories and sub-directories will still default to "icons view mode" when you navigate around.
