What type of audio file do you add to the project bin? MP3, MKV? How big are the audio files? Do only audio files lead to the crash? I updated the bug title a bit. When I am in overlay mode, I import an MP3 format file, and then drag the audio file into the timeline, a consistent crash event will occur. In overlay mode I only can insert a MP3 clip with the shortcut V and B but not via drag and drop. Try with the shortcut V and B to see if the crash still happens. If yes, try with the upcoming version 24.12.0. ๐๐งน โ ๏ธ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
