SUMMARY
Print key in Spectacle without function + Delay setting "no delay" ends always in a ~2 second delay, i.e. ad hoc hardcopies are impossible anymore

Hint: I use the German Spectacle version, so my translations here might be be not 100 percent correct.

FIRST ISSUE:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Push print key on keyboard to start Spectable.
2. Set delay to "no delay", set area to "rectangle area", and in "settings" set "last used modus".
3. Push key <New hardcopy> in Spectacle.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
Last marked area should have appeared without any delay immediately on screen.

ACTION
Close Spectacle

SECOND ISSUE:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Push print key on keyboard to start Spectacle

OBSERVED RESULT
After ~2 seconds the last marked area appears; too late for the picture in the movie I wanted to save.

EXPECTED RESULT
The last marked area should have appeared without any delay immediately on screen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hi - are you able to reproduce this issue on a current version of Spectacle? Unfortunately the version provided by openSUSE Leap 15.5 is out of support from KDE developers.

If this issue is still reproducible in Spectacle 24.08.3 (the latest released version), feel free to re-open this bug report.

Thanks for understanding!
