SUMMARY

I just installed a fresh system with KDE, and when I pin items to the taskbar and then log out and back in, all the pins are reset and reverted. My other KDE installs on different machines are unaffected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Log into KDE Plasma 6 Wayland session
2. Unpin system settings
3. Log out
4. Log back in

OBSERVED RESULT

System settings unpin is reverted, icons are as before the modification.

EXPECTED RESULT

Pin and unpin actions are permanent.

Hi - the issue you're describing is the same underlying issue as the one I'm linking here as a duplicate. You're still experiencing it because it was fixed in KDE Plasma 6.1, and your system is still on Plasma 6.0 - whenever Plasma 6.1 or later is provided by your Linux distribution, please try updating and you should be all set.
