Description Sean Baggaley 2024-11-20 19:19:49 UTC
SUMMARY
The backwards and forwards mouse button navigated through UI pages instead of the filesystem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. From the overview page, select a folder
2. Press the back or forward mouse button in the directory listing.

OBSERVED RESULT
Pressing the back button takes you to the overview page, and the forward button does nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT
The back button will navigate back to the directory you were in previously, forward undoes that, like the back and forward buttons in Dolphin or web browsers. (At the very least, the back mouse button should take you up)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Affects filelight master (46e7027a) and Tumbleweed package (24.08.3)
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20241118
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0

I see this as well - it's additionally complicated by the fact that when browsing directories, the back/forward buttons that are visible when you go back to the Overview page are not actually visible, so the intuitive action among visible possible toolbar actions would be "Up".

The back button not functioning to move back in the directory hierarchy has already been reported, so I'm tagging this as a duplicate just so activity/discussion/progress can be consolidated.
