Do you by any chance have an external monitor plugged into the laptop? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Do you by any chance have an external monitor plugged into the laptop? Yes I do. It's a Dell Monitor. I am running nvidia dGPU right now instead of the iGPU for the sole purpose of using the external monitor. This is because my laptop is nvidia optimus and the hdmi port is wired to the dGPU(nvidia). But I generally unplug the external monitor before I sleep or shutdown as waking up connected sometimes freezes the device if I am on the SDDM login screen. Thanks. To be clear, did this crash happen during one of the times when you unplugged the external screen before closing the lid? If so, approximately how long did you wait after disconnecting the external screen before closing the lid? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Thanks. If so, approximately > how long did you wait after disconnecting the external screen before closing > the lid? Hey sorry for the late reply. So I generally wait for 10-20 sec max. So should be similar to that. The thing is I just wait for the KDE destop to settle down to a single screen like apps would move and the virtual desktop in the panel would become smaller, etc. once I see this I put it to sleep or shutdown. |
