SUMMARY

Okular opens without any complaint, but is just a plain white screen, cannot be interacted with in any way.
Tried both release and nightly, though I think they're actually the same.
Tries also opening a PDF from file system using 'open with' - same result

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Okular

OBSERVED RESULT
White screen

EXPECTED RESULT
Okular to open

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Androin 11 (on a Sony J8110)

i.e. from where are you installing Okular Android?

actually the nightly fdroid version should work i thought it's old but it is not.

You'll have to debug this youself, this is why it's nightly :D

run adb shell into your phone and then logcat and then start the app, should ideally give some error.

It's the same on the release version. I only tried the nightly in case the error had already been fixed.

Can reproduce on Okular 1.3.0 installed from KDE's f-droid release repo running Android 15.
