An old bug that has been dragging on until Plasma 6.2.3 that the developers can't fix. Poor MS Windows. Plasma is messing up the icons on the desktop. All the icons were placed on the left and organized according to the positions chosen by the user. After the system came out of sleep mode, all the icons were messed up and ended up at the top of the screen and apparently organized alphabetically.

Very likely fixed by https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/commit/cc44615b34dacc2a4acfdc82de885c943318a7f6 for Plasma 6.3.0, where we made this an area of focus. Closing for now, but feel free to re-open this bug report if you find it's not fixed in Plasma 6.3.0 once it's released and you're using it.

Thanks!
