Yeah, I think you need to free up some space. Running out of disk space will cause all sorts of havoc. It's for this reason that we have a little notifier to warn you when you're low on space. If you saw it and ignored it, that's on you. :) If you didn't see it because it wasn't running, this is a distro misconfiguration issue and I would recommend reporting it to Ubuntu. Or, if you installed Plasma yourself on top of Ubuntu, then it would be a user misconfiguration issue for failing to ensure that a complete system was installed.
