SUMMARY
Animations fail (eg: Squash) on some applications after being open for some time (but not all). For example, I have some XWayland using applications (GitHub Desktop and ARMCord) that have the "Squash" animation fail to work after some time and do not work again until exiting the application and re-opening it. At this time, I have only observed the issue on XWayand using applications (both ones that draw their own titlebars and ones that use system titlebars).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use an application for some time
2. Attempt one of the Animations
3. Observe the animation fail (act like it is not enabled).

OBSERVED RESULT
Animations don't always work.

EXPECTED RESULT
Animations always work.
