The application crashes whenever I try to import high resolution jpeg/jpg images. Import seems to work otherwise when the jpeg is smaller than 1mb . Vid files, gif, pngs, all other than jpeg seem to work and can be imported in the version 24.08.03.

Update*  The size of the jpegs that I can import are only 499 kb below. Anything larger than, the application crashes.

Another update. It seems higher file size bigger than 499 kb can be imported. I'm guessing the color profile of the jpeg might be causing the problem. I optimized the imported jpeg file in Photoshop to web optimized jpeg and save it as a new file. The jpeg was finally imported. Anyway I didn't have any problems with importing any kind of jpegs in the previous version which is 24.08.01,

Handling of JPEG images is done through Qt. It might help if you can share an image that crashes for you as this is not reproducible with the images we currently have.
