Version:           3.0a1 (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from:    RedHat RPMs
Compiler:          gcc 3.2 
OS:          Linux

No plugins loaded, ->clean install

I go to the 'settings' drop-down menu, select 'settings for Gideon' click on the 'OK' button app is killed (SGSEGV). It does this every time wether i change something or not.

Expected behavior: -> No crashing.

It will not act like this when logged in as root

Can you recompile gideon with debug information and send a backtrace?

I am sorry, I changed over to Mandrake. If I get another box I'll
install RH8.0 and give u an backtrace. BTW. I am on a smp kernel.

Please upgrade to alpha3 and see if you can still create this crash.  I am unable to replicate.  
If so, please post another bug report with backtrace.
