Can confirm this with Dolphin built from git-master

1. Set Maliit to be the virtual keyboard
2. Opened Dolphin
3. Long tapped to get into selection mode
4. Tapped Rename

The virtual keyboard was not brought up, although the "Rename" button was still highlighted, and the filename was highlighted

Maliit does pop up if I tap within the filename itself

This is indeed a bug. As a workaround users can go to the Dolphin settings and disable "Rename single items inline" in View->General.
