SUMMARY

I updated my Lenovo L13 laptop to Neon 6.2 with the rebase to Ubuntu 24.04. Since then I have not been able to reliably unlock my vault.

On rare occasions it will open. Usually it returns with nothing done after a few seconds. There’s nothing that I can see in the logs.

Often Firefox and Thunderbird will disappear.

When I try to restart Firefox or Thunderbird and alert pops up

Launching Firefox failed
Cannot connect to d-bus server

After a little while the window manager will be locked up. The mouse cursor does not move. I have to cntl-alt-delete to get control back.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in
2. Open Firefox and Thunderbird
3. Select "Vaults" from hidden icons in panel
4. Type in password

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing appears to happen; Dolphin window does NOT open with vault contents; Firefox and Thunderbird crash

EXPECTED RESULT

Dolphin opens a window with the file contents of the vault.
