Description Sean Baggaley 2024-10-27 10:30:18 UTC
SUMMARY
Clicking on pages from the sidebar while in the "Write a New Post" page can slow Tokodon to a crawl.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click the Post action.
2. From the "Write a New Post" page, click on another page from the sidebar.

OBSERVED RESULT
Tokodon slows down and sees increased CPU usage. If you click on only one page this lasts for a few seconds.
If you click on pages repeatedly, then it slows to the point of being basically unusable, and the only way to recover is to quit the app and restart it.

EXPECTED RESULT
The performance of the application shouldn't be so dramatically affected.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20241024
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0
Occurs with both Tokodon from the Tumbleweed repos (24.08.2) and a fresh build from master (910ab3bf at time of posting)
