Description Patrick Silva 2024-10-26 17:29:20 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

2. change the volume level of notification sounds or mute it
3. close System Settings
4. reopen Sound KCM

OBSERVED RESULT
the change done in the step 2 was lost. On my system, the Notification Sounds slider is always set to 100% and the speaker icon always indicates that the notification sounds are not muted when open System Settings and go to Sound KCM.

EXPECTED RESULT
any change done in the KCM should be applied

Comment 2 M. Schlegel 2024-10-26 20:58:47 UTC
I'm not seeing this bug on Fedora 41 Beta, note on 41 Beta the Pipewire is 1.2.6 (ahead of the version in the bug rpt, but wireplumber is 0.5.5 which is behind the bug's version)

I can't reproduce this with current git master of KDE stuff plus:
- pipewire: 1.0.9
- wireplumber 0.5.5
- pulseaudio-qt: master (1.6.1)
