Hello, I checked the Bing and DuckDuckGo maps, both of them require for full functionality to have "Reading from Canvas" feature enabled. Observed functionality: Bing: Map loaded but a lot of descriptions and highlighted areas were missing, I could move the map normally. Moving it may hide even more labels. DuckDuckGo: Did not display map at all. After enabling the "Reading from Canvas" it worked just fine. "Reading from Canvas" should be enabled globally by default. It can be set ON or OFF for given site by going to ["Site Information (Ctrl + i)" > "Permissions"] and reloading the page Is this a solution to your issues or is there different bug somewhere? Hello, thanks for help and indeed that workaround with enabling "reading from canvas" is functioning on Google-maps and Bing-maps. Can you enable this feature globally for all websites after installing Falkon or do you have to enable it individually for every website when you visit them? Hello,
> Can you enable this feature globally for all websites after installing Falkon
It should be enabled by default after installing or updating Falkon (Unless I screwed this part up).
The global option is located in [Preferences > Browsing > Web Configuration > Allow Reading from Canvas]
Ah, i see what the problem was. I used the german language-package and the expression is translated pretty badly. I've never heard or read it ever before and there is no explanation about it so i deactivated this option after installing Falkon and setting it up. After switching to English it was pretty then. After switching to English it was pretty *clear* then. Thank you for checking. Closing as "Not a bug" since it is a configuration option. |
